A Little About Mrs. Preston...

I am so excited to be your child's fifth grade teacher this year at Harvey Elementary! I know that this will be one fantastic year together, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you!  

This will be my 21st year teaching in which I have taught many different grades including first, second, third and fifth. Each grade has something unique and special about them and I have truly enjoyed teaching all! Helping children learn and watching them grow to their fullest potential year after year, is such a rewarding experience!  

After graduating Manatee High School in 1995, I attended the University of South Florida.  I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.

 I have been married for 20 years to my wonderful and supportive husband, Ian.  We have two beautiful children, Haley and Chase. Haley is 25 and works full time, and Chase is 18 years old and just graduated from Parrish Community High and will attend MTC in the fall.  We have one family pet, Mila, our dachshund-beagle mix.

Spending time with my family is absolutely my most favorite thing to do!  We are huge Tampa Bay Rays fans and we attend many games throughout the season.  We actually enjoy anything that involves baseball!  

Some of my most favorite things are reading, hanging with the family, spending time at the beach, traveling to Boston to visit family and shopping.

 As the year goes on, I am sure you will learn a lot more about me!  I especially look forward to learning a lot more about each and every one of you!  We are going to make one
